Sue cleaver's corrie exit plans 'rumbled' by viewers

drama following her sister Julie Carp's death. Eileen found herself at the centre of a murder investigation as she was framed for Julie's death. The Weatherfield residents began to

turn against her when they realised Eileen was entitled to all of Julie's life insurance, making her look even more guilty. Last week, Julie's funeral was held in the Rover's

Return as members of the street gathered to celebrate her life. But Eileen was taken aback when her partner George Shuttleworth popped the question during the wake. Meanwhile, her beloved

son Jason, portrayed by Ryan Thomas, returned from Thailand to surprise his mum. He arrived just in time to distract her from answering George's question. He entered the pub and said:

"The Rover Returns, well don't all rush at once! You alright, Mam." Fans were delighted to see the star make a long-awaited return after nine years away from the cobbles. It

soon became clear that Ryan was asked to return as part of Sue's exit storyline. Article continues below Speaking about his return on This Morning earlier this year, he said: "Sue

rang me and said, 'Can you come back for my exit storyline?' and when mother says you've got to do something, you do it!" Sue is set to depart the street to explore other

opportunities. After rejecting George's proposal and inheriting Julie's money, it is evident that Eileen is ready for a fresh start. During the latest broadcast of the ITV soap,

fans started to work out how Eileen's exit storyline will play out on screen. At the end of Monday's (June 2) episode, Jason admitted his mum seemed unhappy with her current life

in Weatherfield and suggested she join him when he goes back to Thailand. Despite initially dismissing the idea, Eileen began to consider if it might be the perfect way for her to make a

fresh start. As the episode came to an end, Jason said: "Mam just think about it." Taking to social media, one fan said: "That’s her exit storyline then, Eileen off to

Thailand with Jason…" More fans agreed that Eileen will most likely depart to Thailand in upcoming episodes. A second wrote: "So come Friday Eileen is off to Thailand with Jason to

run a bar with Julie's life insurance money" A third added: "That’s Eileen packing up her whole life and moving to Thailand by Wednesday then" and a fourth agreed:

"That's the exit story sorted!" Sue is renowned for her role as Eileen Grimshaw on the Cobbles. She first appeared in Weatherfield in 2000 and has already finished filming her

final scenes. She recently appeared on the Off Script soap podcast, where she gave her verdict on her decision to leave after two decades. Sue admitted: "I'd been thinking about

it for quite a long time. I did the jungle and I did the jungle on purpose just to step out of my comfort zone." Sue has been open about wanting to step out of her comfort zone and try

new things while she is in her 60s. She said: "I've written a book about living fearlessly. "I really believe that you have to step outside of your comfort zone for things to

happen. I feel as a woman of a certain age, I'm 61 now, we're at the point where society would like us all just to shuffle off quietly and I refuse to go." She added: "I

really think that you are never too old to start with new challenges. You have so much to give at our age. I just thought I want to reinvent myself, and I want to go out and make my mark on

the world in a different way. So that's why I just wrote the book and I'm sort of just following my own example and that's what I'm doing." Article continues below
