Police update after people on two streets urged to check cctv

MERSEYSIDE POLICE HAS SAID THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING 10:34, 02 Jun 2025 Merseyside Police have made an arrest after the force received a report that a man attempted to indecently expose

himself. This was reported to have happened off Tulip Drive in Huyton, before the suspect ran in the direction of Fairclough Road. Residents on both streets received a letter from Merseyside

Police on Tuesday (May 27) about the incident that took place last weekend. People were asked to check their CCTV or Ring doorbell footage “as a matter of urgency”. Detective Constable

Goren from the Knowsley and East investigations team said the force was looking for a footage of an adult man wearing dark clothing with a distinctive yellow stripe in the area between

5.50pm and 6.30pm on Sunday May 25. The letter, seen by the ECHO, said: “Hello resident. Detective Constable Goren 4977 from Investigations is looking to see if you have any CCTV or Ring

doorbell footage in relation to an incident, crime reference number is 25000431287. “Would you please review if you have any footage of the incident involving an adult male wearing dark

clothing with a distinctive yellow stripe down his pants? Article continues below “We are looking in that area of Tulip Drive-Fairclough Road. The time frame is Sunday 25th May 2025

17:50-18:30 hours. I am interested in any footage that can assist the investigation. “If you come across anything relevant in relation to the above, please can you contact us to make us

aware and we can send a link to your number/email address to obtain the footage. This is a matter of urgency due to a live ongoing investigation. “Thank you again, Knowsley and East

Investigations. Officer in Charge: DC Goren 4977. 0151 777 4977. [email protected].” When contacted by the ECHO for more information, police said a 31-year-old man was arrested and
