were fired at their home. Police reported that nobody was injured in the 'reckless act' on Leyfield Road. It was reported to police that a man wearing a balaclava had approached a


house on Leyfield Road and opened fire - causing damage to the front door. The male is described as wearing dark clothing and riding a Sur-Ron bike. This evening (June 2), police forensic


officers and detective inspectors could be seen investigating the area in front of a property on Leyfield Road, as well as examining a vehicle. A cordon was in place on the street. A


spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "An investigation is underway and house-to-house, witness and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area. There are road closures in


the local area while enquiries are being carried out." Chief Inspector Dave Currie said: “Thankfully was nobody injured but this was clearly a reckless act which could have had serious


if not fatal consequences. The occupier of the house has been left badly shaken by the incident. Article continues below “This is not acceptable behaviour and we will do everything within


our powers to find who the person is and bring him to justice. “We will be speaking with people living locally and would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or thinks they captured


something on their Ring doorbell or CCTV to contact us. “Similarly we would ask taxi or delivery drivers who were in the area of Leyfield Road this evening who thinks the recorded something
