DANIEL EVESON APPEARED ON GOOD MORNING BRITAIN AS HE DESCRIBED MONDAY'S INCIDENT AS "THE WORST MOMENT OF [HIS] LIFE" 09:54, 29 May 2025 A dad was tearful on today's Good
Morning Britain as he recalled the nightmare moment a car was driven into people after Liverpool FC's trophy parade. Daniel Eveson attended the victory parade on Bank Holiday Monday
(May 26) with his partner and five month old baby, Teddy. The celebrations turned to horror when a Ford Galaxy drove into crowds on Water Street just after 6pm. Merseyside Police have
arrested a 53-year-old man from West Derby in connection with the incident, who the force believes to be the driver of the vehicle. At least 79 people were injured in the incident and police
confirmed yesterday seven people remain in hospital in a stable condition. Mr Eveson, his partner and baby were hit by the vehicle and he recounted the horrifying ordeal on Thursday's
edition of Good Morning Britain. Mr Eveson, from Telford, Shropshire, struggled to hold back tears as he told correspondent Nitya Rajan: "I could see his pram on the floor then I saw
his face just crying. She'd gone under the car and the tyre had gone over her leg and continued to drag her down the road. "It's the worst moment of my life. I wish it was me
that was in that hospital now, not her." On Good Morning Britain, Mr Eveson said he's been overcome with emotion every time he's looked at his son since the incident. He
added: "Everytime I've picked him up since I've been home, to feed him, to change his nappy, to give him a love, I've cried my eyes out because I just can't believe
he's still there looking at me." Article continues below Speaking to his local BBC radio station earlier this week, Mr Eveson said he feared he had lost everything when the car
crashed into the crowd. The impact sent his son, Teddy, flying down the road, while Mr Eveson's partner ended up under the wheel of the vehicle. It has been confirmed that Teddy
suffered no significant physical injuries. A kind-hearted bystander from a nearby restaurant rushed to ensure Teddy's safety and then cared for the baby while Daniel attended to his
partner. What should have been a celebratory occasion marking Liverpool's second Premier League victory and twentieth league win turned into the "worst day of his life". The
Reds fan added: "To me looking and finding his pram. To not knowing if he was alive. To seeing him alive. It was a lot to take on... I thought I had lost everything, I really did."
Teddy was thrown approximately 15ft down the road in his pram, according to Daniel. It is believed he remained inside the buggy, which cushioned any further impacts. He did not require
hospital treatment, it is understood. He added: "I don't honestly believe I will be able to go to a parade or celebration like that ever again. Because there will always be that
fear in the back of my mind that anything can happen and we might not be in control." Authorities have detained a 53 year old man on suspicion of attempted murder, as well as for
dangerous driving and drug driving. The detainee from West Derby is currently in police custody, where he has undergone questioning. Merseyside Poilce is of the belief that the arrested
white British citizen was behind the wheel of the car. The force believes the car to have tailgated an ambulance treating a heart attack victim after a roadblock was temporarily opened.
