Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Benefit claimants are advised to "double check" their payments now, as some are about to move. Normally,

DWP and HMRC cash is sent directly to people's bank accounts on a consistent basis, with payments usually issued every month, every four weeks, or every fortnight. But if your usual

payment date lands on a bank holiday, the money will arrive on an alternate day, usually a bit earlier than expected. As Monday, May 36, is the Spring bank holiday, those expecting funds on

this date will instead receive theirs on Friday, May 23. An official Government alert on X, previously Twitter, explains that benefit payments "are usually paid on a different date than

usual if they're due on a bank holiday", and urges people to "double check yours on GOV.UK". Article continues below The post continues: "Changes to benefits

payments. With the Spring bank holiday falling on Monday 26 May, you'll receive most payments on Friday 23 May instead." Earlier this month, similar adjustments were made due to

the Early May bank holiday. Since there are no bank holidays in June or July, payment dates should remain unchanged after May until at least August.
