A new app will help families explore Leicester for less, with exclusive discounts as well as highlighting cheaper parking spots in the city centre. The My Leicester App will also feature

events and competitions for people to join, bringing the city to your fingertips. The launch of the app was announced by BID Leicester this week and is designed to "help families

discover, explore, and save". Those who download the new feature will be able to find free trails exploring the city centre, local events and exclusive food offers, many of which

revolve around kid's meals. Low-cost parking will also be highlighted in real time on the app, as drivers will be told if there are any cheaper spots available close by. Director at BID

Leicester, Simon Jenner said: "You can explore hidden murals on a trail, grab lunch at a discount, and even find where to park for less – all in one place. We know how quickly a day

available on the app alongside free themed trails such as the "A Free Family Day Out in Leicester” and an “Animal Hunt” to help families enjoy their time in the city centre without

breaking the bank. The app also features digital loyalty cards, making it "a go to companion for anyone spending time in Leicester", according to BID. The app is free to download
