Boy left with 'life-changing injuries' after stabbing

A teenager is in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a stabbing in Leicester city centre. Leicestershire Police said officers were called to Granby Street at 5.09pm on

Friday, May 30, following reports of a stabbing. East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended, with the victim, a 17-year-old boy, receiving first aid at the scene before being taken to

hospital. A police cordon was in place on the corner of Granby Street and Gallowtree Gate as investigations were carried out at the scene. Horsefair Street, Halford Street, and Granby Street

to the incident remain unclear, with investigations described as being in their early stages. No arrests have been made at this time as police work to establish what happened. Police are

appealing for anyone who was in the Granby Street area this evening to come forward. Officers say they want to hear from anyone with information that may assist the investigation. Anyone
