A place in the sun viewers fume at 'time-wasting' buyers

A Place In The Sun host Jasmine Harman was praised by viewers for her composure during a particularly challenging episode, which saw some fans label the property-seeking pair as

"time-wasters". In a recent episode of the Channel 4 programme, Liverpool civil servant Lisa sought Jasmine's expertise to locate her ideal holiday abode in the sun-drenched

region of southern Alicante, with her father Stephen accompanying her on the international quest. Armed with a £65,000 budget, Lisa was determined to find a two-bedroom home within close

proximity to bars and eateries, and crucially, with access to a communal swimming pool. She enthused about her love for Spain, saying: "I absolutely love Spain, I love the

lifestyle," and "I love Sundays where everything shuts down - I'm excited." However, the enthusiasm soon waned. The initial apartment, coming in just over budget at

£66,000 and featuring a balcony and shared pool, received a tepid response. Stephen commented that the pool "could be a little bit bigger," while Lisa considered its

"potential" but remained unconvinced due to its size, reports the Express. It was evident from the get go that this search would not be straightforward. Jasmine herself expressed

concerns, noting: "I have a feeling this house hunt might be trickier than I had initially anticipated." And indeed, the journey became more complex. Stephen quickly wrote off the

second viewing as "too small", and Lisa found the third option unexciting, citing nearby building work as a deterrent. Despite showing some interest in the latter properties, Lisa

concluded the episode without placing an offer. Although Lisa maintained a courteous and cheerful demeanour, some viewers expressed their annoyance on the social media platform X. One user

said: "One of the worst timewasters of late. Absolutely useless". Another viewer commented: "Poor poor Jasmine - she deserves a medal after putting up with these two,"

and added, "They're definitely just looking for something bad at every property." A third posted: "That's an hour of our lives we won't get back," and

"Just drop these two back at the airport and get the news on!". However, not all viewers were critical. One fan appreciated Lisa's direct approach, posting: "Love this
