4 arrested in raid involving dmv

Armando Madrigal of Ventura, was taken into custody on suspicion of selling forged proof-of-auto-insurance cards, authorities said. The raid was at Madrigal’s house at 815 Empire Ave. at

1:45 p.m. Ventura County sheriff’s deputies served the warrant with the assistance of officers from the Ventura Police Department and the Department of Motor Vehicles. No drugs were found,

but authorities confiscated items used in the manufacture of fraudulent insurance cards, Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy Arnie Aviles said. Madrigal was booked into County Jail in Ventura,

and on Thursday was being held on $20,000 bail, said a jail spokeswoman. Steven Edward Berg, 37, of Ventura, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to sell methamphetamine, Aviles said.

Robert Rodriguez Gomez, 39, of Oxnard, was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court, Aviles said. He was being held on $12,000 bail, authorities said. A fourth person,

Lelaine Elizabeth Brown, 31, of Lomita in Los Angeles County, was booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs, Aviles said. Her bail was set at
