Apple said, “We’re heartbroken by the catastrophic flooding in Kerala. Apple is donating Rs. 7 crore to support the life-saving work Mercy Corps India and the Chief Minister’s Distress

Relief Fund are undertaking to support survivors, help those who have been displaced and rebuild homes and schools.” The iPhone producers have also taken a step forward towards creating

awareness for the relief work. Apple has added support banners to its website’s home page, along with App Store and iTunes Store, which allows customers to donate to Mercy Corps.”We have

also activated a donation button on iTunes and the App Store so customers who wish to donate to Mercy Corps’ efforts can do so easily,” the statement added. Apple users can donate $5, $10,

$25, $50, $100, or $200 to Mercy Corps using credit and debit cards. Kerala is facing one of the worst floods in its history with the loss of 21,000 crores already been suffered by the

state. More than 1 million people have been forced to stay in relief camps due to constant rains and flood like situation in the state. Chief Minister P Vijayan has appealed to the citizens

of Kerala to stay ‘united as one’ to tackle this difficult situation faced by the state.
