Srinagar, Mar 4: Mehran Nisar, Kashmir University’s star cricketer, has been selected to represent the North Zone in Vizzy Trophy 2023-24, scheduled to be held at Guwahati from March 10. KU

Vice Chancellor, Prof Nilofar Khan felicitated Mehran Nisar Monday here. Vizzy Trophy is a national-level tournament, being organised by the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) in

collaboration with the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), an official statement issued here read. Presenting Mehran with a token of appreciation, Prof Khan congratulated him on

his selection in the team and wished him luck for the competition. The token presented by the KU Vice Chancellor to Mehran will cover his airfare and other expenses, read the statement. “The

university acknowledges and appreciates the efforts of the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (DPES), especially the cricket coaches, Sakeena Akhter and Amjad Qadir, for working
