Case study £20 MILLION FOR A NEW CIVIC AND ENTERPRISE HUB IN RADCLIFFE Radcliffe will receive £20 million from the Levelling Up Fund to create a new Civic and Enterprise Hub. The hub will
attract investment to the town centre and the wider area of Bury. PUBLIC RESOURCES IN ONE PLACE The hub will span the River Irwell and be home to key public resources including: * support
for local businesses * a new leisure centre * adult education * a new library * healthcare * other council run services A NEW LEISURE CENTRE AND RELOCATION OF RADCLIFFE LIBRARY Funding will
support development of a new leisure centre inside the hub. The leisure centre will include: * a seating area for 150 spectators * a 6 lane 25 metre swimming pool * teaching pool * a
state-of-the-art gym * fitness studios Radcliffe library will move from its current location on Stand Lane to the hub. The old library will become a new enterprise and skills centre. Find
out more about Radcliffe’s regeneration. REFURBISHMENT OF THE MARKET CHAMBERS Part of the investment will refurbish the Market Chambers. The ground floor will house shops and cafes, while
the first and second floors will be turned into office and studio space. The market basement will be made into a large, flexible event space, completely waterproof to protect the structure
of Radcliffe Market. A balcony will also be built onto the market, overlooking the River Irwell. UPGRADES TO PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ROUTES Funds will also upgrade the town’s pedestrian and
