_WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM SIRENS._ The much-anticipated series Sirens has made its debut on Netflix, and it's already making waves with its official Rotten Tomatoes

rating now public. Billed as a dark comedy, the five-part miniseries follows the tenacious Devon (portrayed by Meghann Fay) as she seeks out her estranged sister Simone's (Milly Alcock)

new workplace after months of sparse communication. Devon discovers that Simone is employed as the personal aide to the wealthy socialite Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore), uncovering a

relationship between them that's far closer than she expected. Sensing that not everything is as perfect as it seems against the opulent setting, Devon delves deeper to uncover the

truth in hopes of persuading Simone to depart with her. Netflix released all episodes of Sirens on Thursday, May 22, and since then, critics have flocked to Rotten Tomatoes to post their

reviews of this fresh original series. With a commendable 73% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it appears that the dark comedy has been well-received by viewers. This article contains affiliate

WWE programming. from £15 Sky Audiences have taken to the platform to laud the series crafted by Molly Smith Metzler, known for creating Maid on Netflix and contributing to Orange Is The New

Black. One Rotten Tomatoes user extolled: "The top trio of stars all turn in fine performances, led by Moore finding just the right pitch for Michaela - believable and mystical, easy

to stereotype yet hard to pin down." Another viewer noted: "The show's appeal lies in its complicated depiction of bickering and bruising sisters, with prickly performances

from Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock giving the series an alluring and distinguishing jolt." A third chimed in: "This endlessly entertaining study in class and family is a witty,

star-packed treat that zips through five tight episodes." Despite many positive reviews, 'Sirens' has not been without its detractors. One critical voice pointed out that the

ending was "half satisfying, half frustrating," while someone else labelled the series as a "slog" to get through. Commenting on the myriad of heavy themes tackled in the

show, a user observed: "From domestic abuse to addiction to family dysfunction to class warfare, the series gets in over its head". They added that this complexity made it

"So much so that it becomes overwhelming to keep track of all the traumas and anxieties that cripple the protagonists over the course of five hours." Echoing similar thoughts,

another post read: "The limited series Sirens starts off strong and intriguing before gradually turning frustrating and fruitless by the time it wraps up." Meanwhile, one succinct

critique branded the show as a "big, beautiful bore". Notwithstanding the spectrum of opinions, the fate of 'Sirens' has already been sealed. Being classified as a

limited series means it's unlikely to see a follow-up season. _SIRENS IS AVAILABLE TO WATCH ON NETFLIX. _
