Former Big Brother presenter Emma Willis shared her health scare with Lorraine Kelly, revealing she had to have surgery for a heart condition. On the ITV show, Emma expressed how fortunate

she felt, acknowledging that others have faced more challenging experiences. The 49-year-old, was joined by her husband, Busted's Matt Willis, 42, as they discussed the positive impact

of couples therapy on their marriage. Lorraine, a staple of ITV daytime TV, had just resumed her role after having preventative keyhole surgery to remove benign ovarian cysts. Fresh from her

own surgical recovery, Lorraine was eager to learn more about Emma's more intricate heart surgery, reports OK!. The veteran presenter, aged 76, inquired: "You didn't even

know?" Emma responded during the interview: "No, I found out in January, literally I'd had it my whole life." As viewers saw a photo of Emma donning a hospital gown,

Lorraine playfully remarked: "You even make that hospital gown look good woman, it's not fair." Emma, however, took a moment to express gratitude for the support she received

during her time in the hospital: "Do you know what, thank you actually, I haven't said that for all the kindness online, it was really nice." She continued to praise the

hospital staff: "I genuinely just wanted to thank the hospital because they've been so amazing and everybody that looked after me, they were great." Speaking about her

condition and how fortunate she considers herself, Emma emphasised: "But the amount of people that I have spoken to since that have said 'that happened to me and I found out after

having a stroke'." She added: "That then really makes you think 'oh that's what I could have been dealing with,' I was so lucky." Lorraine delved into how

Emma had come across the issue, prompting the celebrity to explain her discovery stemmed from having "very high cholesterol", which led to further medical investigations. It was

during a routine scan that healthcare professionals identified Emma's "enlarged heart". Despite this, the television presenter and mother-of-three initially believed her

symptoms were due to "hormonal changes" and hadn't considered other causes. LORRAINE AIRS WEEKDAYS ON ITV1, FROM 9AM.
