BBC's popular daytime programme Bargain Hunt has been hit with backlash this week. During Monday's show, which took place at King's Lynn antiques centre, both teams

experienced disappointing outcomes at auction, with the red team facing a £40 loss and the blue team ending up £58 out of pocket. Items like a typewriter, china dinner service, and a

Norwegian brooch for the reds, and a vase, a vintage football game, and silverware for the blues, led to their respective losses. Despite the setbacks, it was the red team that ultimately

triumphed. David Fergus and Caroline Hawley joined Ross for the episode, yet it was the presenter himself who faced criticism from viewers. Social media was flooded with reactions from

viewers calling for a revamp and condemning the long-standing series for its lack of innovation and freshness. One vexed viewer declared on platform X: "I cannot believe that utter

drivel is still going and it's not changed since it first started!" A second watcher voiced: "Bargain Hunt is so predictable. Needs a total shake up. Get rid of Charlie Ross

of #BargainHunt #guiltypleasure.” Just weeks after the BBC revealed significant changes to Bargain Hunt, two new experts have joined the show. On April 14, ceramics connoisseur Serhat Ahmet,

who has a background of over thirty years specialising in 18th—to 20th-century porcelain, made his first appearance. Auctioneer and studio glass specialist David Fergus made his entrance

into the programme on April 21. The announcement welcomed him: "It's a massive welcome [to] one of our new brilliant experts - it's @SerhatAntiques! Welcome to the

#BBCBargainHunt team, Serhat." Fans were invited to watch Serhat's inauguration episode, set in Exeter: "Ping with his blue team in #Exeter." David Fergus, who is not

unfamiliar with TV as the former host of Cash In The Attic alongside Jules Hudson, was also introduced. His arrival was celebrated with the message: "Please give a huge welcome to our

other new expert on #BBCBargainHunt. It's @1davefergus! You can watch David's first programme on #BankHoliday Monday 21st April when he guides his blue team in King's
