Urgent search for gp after car last seen in middlesbrough eight days ago

Police are appealing for the public's help to find a GP who has been missing for more than a week. Zakariya Waqar-Uddin was last seen in Lancashire on May 12 and officers believe he was

heading back to Teesside. Cleveland Police said Dr Waqar-Uddin is believed to be driving a dark purple Volkswagen Touran. It was seen in the Low Lane area of Middlesbrough at around 2.30pm

on May 12. The force are now "concerned" for his welfare with appeals made on social media in a bid to find him. A picture of Dr Waqar-Uddin has also been shared. Anyone with

information about his whereabouts is asked to come forward. A post on the Cleveland Police Facebook page said: "Have you seen missing Zakariya? Officers are urgently appealing for help

from the public to trace missing 44-year-old Zakariya Waqar-Uddin. "Zakariya was last seen in the Chorley area of Lancashire on Monday, May 12, but it’s thought he was heading back to

Middlesbrough. "It’s believed he was driving a dark purple Volkswagen Touran which was last seen in the Low Lane area of Middlesbrough at around 2.30pm on Monday, May 12. "Officers

are concerned for Zakariya’s welfare and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 089736." JOIN TEESSIDE
