Anyone growing up on Teesside during the late eighties and nineties will have memories of being pulled around the Parkway on a Saturday morning by their parents. The trip was only made
bearable with the promise that you'd be able to play on 'the snake' after they'd been to Presto and on the promise of you being well behaved. That was, of course, before
it got removed for looking a little worse for wear. You could get most things from the one shopping centre thanks to the array of different stores that were housed in there - including a
bite to eat from the Chinese restaurant near the entrance during the early nineties. From the late eighties, the shopping centre even had a Post Office. The residents of Coulby Newham had
banded together with locals Eileen Evans, Joyce Parker, and Doreen Craig to gather 3,000 signatures for the cause in December 1986. These fantastic photos are dated from 1986 when the
shopping centre first opened to 1991 when Cards R Us, David Fox and Albany Life were still there. What shops do you remember? We want to hear from you in the comments below. FOR BREAKING
