A top price of 2,000gns was achieved twice for pedigree Hereford bulls at the recent native breeds show and sale, at Dungannon Farmers’ Mart, Northern Ireland. First into the sale ring and
securing the top price was March 2010 born Ashtree Frankie from Desmond Martin, Saintfield, County Down. This on is by Glaslough Esquire and out of Coolfore Prefix. It goes to a new home
with Ernest Dalton, Maguiresbridge, County Fermangah. The second call of 2,000gns went to April 2010 born Lisrace Lionheart X from David Wilson from Magheraveely, County Fermanagh. This
home-bred bull is by Lisrace Lionheart IV and out of Lisrace Lifeliner. He boasts a SRI of +31 and goes to a new home with R Beattie, Dunloy, County Antrim. Other top prices on the day
included 1,650gns for Messrs Haire’s Dorepoll 1 499 Gold Run, and 1,600gns for in-calf heifer Richmount 1 Florrie, from Portadown-based breeder James Graham.
