Germany Euro 2024 squad: Julian Nagelsmann's full team

The Germany Euro 2024 squad confirmed their spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament with a 2-0 win against Denmark.

Kicking off their Euro 2024 campaign at the Allianz Arena against Scotland, Germany put in a dominant 5-1 performance despite the immense pressure they were clearly under. Florian Wirtz,

Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz all scored in the first half to ensure Germany headed into the break 3-0 up, before Niclas Fullkrug and Emre Can added a couple more in the second half.

They then followed that up with a convincing 2-0 win against Hungary to confirm their spot in the last 16, but they needed a stoppage time equaliser from Niclas Fullkrug to spare their

blushes against Switzerland and finish top of Group A.

Denmark proved difficult opposition in the last 16, with Kasper Hjulmand's side scaring the hosts with a second half opening goal through Joachim Andersen, which was later ruled out for a

marginal offside. Germany then required a contentious penalty decision to take the lead through Kai Havertz, before Jamal Musiala added a second to set up a tie with Spain.

The quarter-finals will prove difficult for Die Mannschaft, with Spain having been one of the standout teams at Euro 2024. La Roja have won all four of their games so far at the tournament,

conceding just once in that time and scoring nine of their own.

Overcome Spain, though, and Germany will come up against Portugal or France in the semi-finals. Things certainly won't be easy for Julian Nagelsmann's side if they're to win on home soil

this summer.

Euro 2024 is a redemption story for Julian Nagelsmann – and an intriguing match-up between coach and country. The national team fired Hansi Flick following a shock loss to Japan, with the

former Bayern Munich man floundering in the main role, following his years as Jogi Low's right-hand man. Nagelsmann was a temporary solution.

But the young manager has since signed a longer-term deal, refusing the overtures of former employers Bayern after they came crawling back. The 36-year-old might just be the best tactician

at the tournament and he's perhaps closer to the elite in style and experience than anyone else at the Euros. This should be interesting…

The joint-top scorer at Euro 2024, Nagelsmann has centred his entire team around the Bayern Munich playmaker. The 21-year-old is one of the most exciting young players in Europe, with his

agility and deft touches impossible for opponents to handle.

Musiala has showed glimpses of just how good he can be in recent years; at Euro 2024, he is highlighting his skills on a consistent, abundant basis.
