The coronavirus lockdown has left many people without holidays as travel restrictions remain in place. Europe has become a hotbed for coronavirus over the last few weeks with Spain and Italy
having the most infections. But many are wondering when their next holiday in Europe will take place. “But hopefully for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, we might actually be able
to see our families. “But I think before we start going far to other continents, we will resume travelling closer to home, and for shorter periods of time. “So we will see more long
weekends, we will see more local travel, maybe more train travel even though you can touch germs on a train! “I think people will feel less worried about train travel than they will about
plane travel because you’re not in the air for a few hours with someone.” She added that people might instead travel closer to home in the future. She said: “I think people will be closer to
home, and travel shorter distances especially travelling with people who are more vulnerable to coronavirus.” Pola also explained why she thinks cruises might struggle in the future. She
said: “When it comes to the demographic of a cruise ship passenger, a large chunk of that is the elderly and retirees. “And let’s not forget who is impacted by the virus. The virus will make
the numbers smaller. “We are looking at so many deadly cases and it pains me to say this. “Cruises will lose some customers and they will have a hard time attracting new ones.”
