Google Maps Street View provides panoramic views along streets across the world.
Images are taken by Google cars driving along the roads and photographing the area around them.
Street View serves an undeniably useful and serious role when it comes to world maps.
However, on some occasions, the Google car captures people going about their lives with very funny consequences.
Google Maps Street View: Unfortunate man caught in very embarrassing shot
On one occasion the Google car took a photo of a man just as he peered out of his front door.
He can clearly be seen with one foot outside the door looking across the street of houses.
However, the man has been caught in a rather embarrassing position as he is naked from the waist up.
The rather portly gentleman shows no shame as he stands in the doorway - but perhaps he didn’t realise his physique would be captured for all the world to see.
No explanation is obvious to explain his half-naked state, but he is wearing trousers.
Some viewers have wondered whether he just wanted to test the temperature of the outdoors before deciding what to wear.
Luckily for the man, his face had been blurred by Google so he cannot be identified.
In this situation, this blurring makes complete sense, but there have been other occasions when Google’s decision to hide identities has been rather strange.
For instance, on one occasion a man in fancy dress was blurred as he stood outside a shop.
However, the unusual choice of outfit negates all need for this as his face cannot be seen.
The rabbit outfit seems to consist of all-in-one white fancy dress get-up with a large purple waistcoat over the top.

On the man's head is a huge rabbit’s head with big pink and white ears that stick up.
Perhaps Google thought it was better to be safe than sorry when it came to identity protection.
A more ludicrous example of facial blurring does exist though, showing how seriously Google takes privacy.
In a scene captured in Cambridge, a cow’s face has been blurred out by the mapping service.
When questioned, Google proved they had a sense of humour. A spokesman for Google told The Telegraph: "We thought you were pulling the udder one when we herd the moos, but it's clear that
our automatic face-blurring technology has been a little overzealous.
"Of course, we don't begrudge this cow milking its five minutes of fame."
