York tomorrow evening. McGregor’s first encounter with Nurmagomedov since the infamous UFC 223 media day in Brooklyn has been advertised as a ‘media only’ event. But according to ‘The

Notorious’, mixed martial arts fans will be allowed to attend the presser. “The press conference will be open to the public,” McGregor tweeted in the early hours of the morning. McGregor’s

grudge match with Nurmagomedov, which has been nearly two years in the making, will serve as UFC 229’s main event. The Las Vegas battle has been at the top of many MMA fans’ wish-lists since

the unsavoury melee at the UFC 223 media day in April, where McGregor threw a dolly through the window of a bus carrying Nurmagomedov and his fellow fighters. The bout will be McGregor’s

first MMA fight since he claimed the lightweight title in the main event of UFC 205, where he TKO’d Eddie Alvarez to become the promotion’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion. One
