Liverpool news: juventus chief makes emre can transfer claim

Can is out of contract at Liverpool in the summer and talks over a renewal are yet to see the two parties reach an agreement. Juventus have been heavily linked with the Germany international

end of the contracts. But despite leading the race for Can, Marotta has played down their hopes of bringing him to Turin. Marotta told Italian outlet Premium Sport: "The interest is

clear.  “We want to try and bring him to us, but we cannot do it because he currently has a contract with Liverpool. "He could renew it and, moreover, there are other teams interested

in him." He added: "We want to try and bring him to Turin. I am stating this with full awareness that he might not arrive, but we need to have important objectives." Last

week, Can revealed he was still in talks with Liverpool. "My agent is looking after everything but I am here until the summer. I haven't signed anything (with Juventus) or

anyone," said Can. "I am talking with everyone, of course I am talking with Liverpool. Why not? I still have a contract here. It is an amazing club. What can I say? My agent does

the rest. "I just concentrate on my performance and the football. I will give everything for this team.”
