Grealish's temper gets the better of him as man city coach intervenes"

The second half especially became a feisty encounter when the visitors attempted to hold onto their lead at Craven Cottage, much to Fulham’s frustration as Grealish and Kenny Tete were

involved in a number of battles down their flank. On one occasion, the two clashed after a foul which resulted in both players being shown a yellow card. With just over 20 minutes remaining,

Grealish was the subject of a heavy tackle from Tete and then he got up and attempted to run past the full-back as City were on the counter. He was brought down off the ball before squaring

up to the Netherlands defender. The pair exchanged some furious words, as Grealish certainly seemed to remember after the final whistle. Grealish was captured gesturing to the Fulham

supporters as he celebrated the three points, before City coach Lorenzo Buenaventura came over to the 27-year-old and got him to stop. The two exchanged words as Grealish appeared to not

like what he was hearing, before Buenaventura exited the pitch. It was not the first time last week that Grealish had been embroiled in a heated clash with one of his opponents, having

grabbed Thomas Partey by the collar during City’s 4-1 win over Arsenal in their top-of-the-table clash on Wednesday. They too exchanged some heated words as once again both players received

bookings from the referee. Against Fulham, Grealish will have been frustrated not to get on the scoresheet having hit the crossbar with a stunning effort. He received the ball on the left

from Haaland before cutting inside and his curling strike was parried onto the woodwork by Bernd Leno as Grealish was left with his head in his hands. Grealish was the target of several boos

from the home faithful during the game, something he made sure to give back to the Fulham fans at the end of the game before Buenaventura intervened and put a stop to his actions as he

riled the crowd up after an enthralling 90 minutes of football. The result moved City top of the table, one point clear of Arsenal with a game in hand on the Gunners ahead of City’s home

fixture with West Ham on Wednesday.
