Leeds to complete £6m permanent transfer tomorrow

Leeds United are set to seal the permanent signing of Illan Meslier tomorrow. The 20-year-old goalkeeper joined the Elland Road outfit on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy from

Lorient last summer. Meslier spent the majority of the campaign playing second fiddle to Kiko Casilla but impressed in 10 appearances, conceding only five goals and keeping six clean sheets.

It was previously reported by the _Daily Mirror_ that a £6million buy-out clause would be activated upon promotion to the Premier League. Meslier has confirmed he will put pen to paper, and

told _Ouest France_: "I will sign Thursday for three years with Leeds, it's a great story. "In Lorient, I was goalkeeper number two in August 2019, I had to make a choice.

"He manages the smallest detail, it's a crazy thing! Every percentage, every parameter is important, that's what has allowed us to climb this season." Leeds are likely to

be busy in the summer transfer window, and owner Andrea Radrizzani has hinted a deal could be on the cards for free agent Edinson Cavani following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

Radrizanni said: “In addition to his quality, Cavani could contribute with his physicality and adapt here, but I’ve never talked about him with the coach. “Having said that, we’ve certainly
