THE CROWN SEASON 2 OFFICIAL TRAILER FEATURING CLAIRE FOY Netflix has already released a number of trailers hinting that all is not well between the Queen (played by Claire Foy) and her

husband Prince Philip (Matt Smith). The teasers suggest that the Duke of Edinburgh could be having one affair or even a series of extra-marital dalliances.  In the most recent trailer for

The Crown, Prince Philip looks very much like he is going to be playing away. The Crown season two will also see the Queen navigating choppy waters as attitudes towards the Royal Family

change. Foy has previously teased: "No-one’s prepared for what’s about to happen.” While The Crown creator Peter Morgan said: “We find out things about him that I don’t think many

people know, but also the character of Philip is centre stage in a way that is new.” But will he have an affair in season two?  RELATED ARTICLES In season one of The Crown, Prince Philip was

seen attending gentlemen’s clubs regularly and was rarely at home, suggesting that he could be up to potentially scandalous things. He paid quite a bit of attention to a waitress while out

with one of his friends, indulging in raucous behaviour following his wife’s ascension to the throne. From the season two trailer, these hints have been taken a step further as it’s

suggested that the prince is engaging in some pretty full-blown affairs while away on duty. At one point during the teaser he’s seen looking at a woman as she dances in what appears to be an

official visit.  The Queen is warned by an unseen man: “You married a wild spirit, trying to tame him is no use.”  NETFLIX Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown season 2 These

ominous words are followed by a swathe of paparazzi snapping pictures, suggesting that the royal is caught up in something unsavoury.  She later tells her husband in a private moment: “This

restlessness of yours has to stop. It has to be a thing of the past.”  “One more scandal, one more national embarrassment and it would all be over,” she adds to the Prince, who looks

unimpressed at her.  The Queen seems exhausted, hinting that the couple have been rowing again and that he is frustrated and being emasculated by his wife and outranked by his son. Photos

released by Netflix earlier this also suggest at the rift between the pair growing further as they sit apart.  WHEN WILL THE CROWN SEASON 2 COME OUT? NETFLIX Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II

Royal Family are deeply private, however there have been rumours of Prince Philip’s infidelity, particularly in 1948 when newspapers ran a story of an alleged romance between him and actress

Patricia Kirkwood.  Patricia denied the claims and the Royal Family did not issue a statement but the reports persisted through the years. Royal biographer Sarah Bradford claimed in her

2011 book Elizabeth II: Her Life in Our Times to have spoken to women who confirmed the alleged affair.    While the Palace has never commented on the claims made in the book, other

historians and authors have found no evidence to suggest Prince Philip had any affairs.   WHAT TIME IS THE CROWN SEASON 2 ON NETFLIX? The action will pick up in the 1960s at a period of

social change as the monarchy is struggling to modernise.  There will be political challenges as we enter the autumn of the British Empire as colonial rule is losing its influence and

nations strive for their freedom. Along with the discord between the Queen and Prince Philip, there will be potential controversy on the cards with Princess Margaret (played by Vanessa

Kirby) and her new love, photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones (Matthew Goode). Season two will see President John F. Kennedy (Michael C. Hall) paying a visit to London with his wife Jackie

(Jodi Balfour). THE CROWN SEASON 1 RECAP Netflix has announced that The Crown season two will be released in its entirety on Friday, December 8. _THE CROWN SEASON 2 WILL BE AVAILABLE ON

NETFLIX ON DECEMBER 8._
