Friends star matt leblanc drops major joey tribbiani bombshell

Matt LeBlanc is the latest star of the series to reveal a surprise secret about his character Joey Tribbiani, which involved a stunt going very wrong.  Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the

50-year-old revealed that while filming The One Where No One Is Ready for the third season, he dislocated his arm.  The injury meant that his character had to wear a sling and it had to be

written into the plot.  Recalling the incident he told host Jimmy: “That was one the where I dislocated my shoulder. The audience that night was made up of Diet Coke contest winners.  “It

was the second scene. Chandler and I are fighting over the big down chain - I’m downstage at the table and he comes in the door and we both look at each other, look at the chair and neither

one of us is sitting in it.  “So we both race to the chair and I have to just step over the coffee table and land in this big, huge, comfortable chair. I don’t think it even qualifies as a

stunt.” Matt went on: “Somehow I ended up completely upside down and I was going to land on my head between the table and the chair, so I put my arm up to break my fall and just exploded my

shoulder. So I get up and everyone thought it was part of the show.” When the actor stood up he then stumbled through the door to Monica’s room - but the door is actually fake - and was left

in “total pain”.  “I just kinda collapsed against the wall and I’m looking at my arm and my whole shoulder is gone - my arm is sticking out of my a** basically,” he added.  Sadly for the

competition winners at the recording of the episode, they all had to be flown home while Matt sought medical treatment before filming the scene again.  Matt’s sling became part of the

storyline and was blamed on an injury Joey got after he jumped on the bed.
