Official spoilers for the ITV soap confirm there are lies, kidnappings and dark histories revealed in upcoming scenes. As the search for Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton (played by Cait
Fitton) continues, residents on the cobbles find themselves facing their own horrors. When Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) tries to search for Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) dog in the park,
she makes a harrowing discovery. Spotting a group of teens digging by a rose bush, she sees red. As Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) suspects something is on her mind, he tries to get to the bottom
of what’s happening. However, when she confesses a secret that’s been hidden for decades, what will the consequences be? Elsewhere, Roy remains behind bars as the residents continue to try
and prove his innocence. Meanwhile, a group of teens take drastic action to try and make him confess to murdering Lauren. Express.co.uk has a rundown of three of the biggest Coronation
Street storylines set to air in scenes next week. Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) calls at the cafe to collect Freddie after promising Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) that he’d walk him before
school. However, as he heads out he’s unaware a group of sleuths are watching from a table in the corner. Later on, a distraught Sam returns without the dog in tow. He explains that Freddie
ran off which prompts Nina and Toyah to head out and look for him while Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) minds the cafe. Things take a turn when Nina, Evelyn and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey)
watch a video that was uploaded by the sleuths showing that they’ve got Freddie. Holding the pooch hostage, they offer a proposal. To secure his safe return, Roy must confess to Lauren’s
murder. What will they do next? While Toyah is searching for Freddie the dog, she spots three teens digging near a rose bed. When asked what they’re doing, they reveal they saw the pooch
clawing in the same place. Believing Roy may have buried Lauren’s body there, they continue to dig. Toyah sees red and picks up a shovel to smash their car window while one of the teens
records what she’s doing on their phone. Later on, when questioned by the police, Toyah remains adamant she did the right thing to defend Roy’s reputation to stop the sleuths from
desecrating such a special place. However, her choice of words makes Nick curious. When he returns home later on, he finds Toyah in tears as she reveals the truth. She explains that when she
was 19 years old, she gave birth to a stillborn baby girl. However, she kept it a secret all these years and she buried her in the exact same place in the park that she found the sleuths
digging up. Detailing more information on her harrowing past, Toyah admits the baby’s father was Phil Simmonds (Jack Deam), the guy who raped her. When Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) returns home,
oblivious to the tension, he tells them both that the police are digging up North Cross Park. With Lauren still missing, Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll), reckons they’ve found a body.
However, now Nick knows Toyah’s secret, will she find herself in even more trouble? While in his cell, Roy confides in the prison officer that new evidence has come to light. With this, he’s
hopeful that he could be released soon. In court, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) makes the case for Roy’s bail application. Using Bobby’s new information, she describes a man who
was seen leaving Lauren’s flat who didn’t fit Roy’s description. However, it appears her efforts are shut down as the judge refuses Roy’s bail application. When Dee-Dee visits Roy in his
cell, she tries to keep his spirits high as she tells him not to give up hope and the police are planning a reconstruction. Later on, Roy calls Carla Barlow (Alison King) from prison and
asks if she’d come to see him as he needs to talk to her about Bobby’s statement. Has Bobby’s lie been exposed?
