Jukebox (played by Anika Noni Rose in Power) took no prisoners when she was introduced in the Starz flagship series as Kanan’s (50 Cent) scheming cold-hearted cousin. While she met a grisly

end in the original series, Jukebox in Raising Kanan, brought to life by Hailey Kilgore, is introduced as a much softer kind of character, enjoying school and not too involved in her

family’s criminal goings-on. However, over the course of Power Book III, London Brown has exclusively confirmed fans will begin to see what made Jukebox the woman she became, and his

character Marvin will play an intriguing role. When asked what impact Marvin will have on Jukebox in Raising Kanan, Brown began: “So what’s interesting to me because I had never watched

Power, so I thought Jukebox was a new character. I had no idea.  “So this is like new information to me because, in this series, that's what I felt she was giving off." Delving

into exactly what Starz viewers can expect, he continued: “In the middle, there's a big - I don’t want to give it away - there's a major, major scene where Marvin and Jukebox

finally have the talk about why there's such a disconnect between the two.  “And Marvin has to come to some reality with things as she confronts him, he confronts her, and we understand

and say, ‘Oh, this is kind of what's going on and why she's like this’." READ MORE: POWER BOOK 3 STAR INSISTS CROSSOVERS CAN HAPPEN DESPITE BEING PREQUEL [EXCLUSIVE] So it

sounds like fans will finally learn exactly what triggered Jukebox to become the hardened figure Power viewers saw in the flagship series. And Brown revealed he had a rather unique technique

to ensure he and Kilgore did their bit to do justice to the intriguing storyline between the father and daughter. “As we were filming the season, Jukebox - Hailey did a great job - (but)

Marvin and Jukebox aren't necessarily seeing eye to eye throughout the season. And that will be revealed throughout the season.  “So what I did personally as London, I just didn't

allow myself to get really close to Hailey the actress.  Delving further, the Raising Kanan star added: “In her relationships, her personal issues and the ones with me, and it's gonna

be really important.  “I think people ought to really be excited about how she plays it. And she did a good job.  “Again, that's what makes this Power Book really special because

it's the prequel to set up (the series).  “And we get to understand the undergird of why all these characters are moving the way they’re moving because we get to see the foundations of

them.
