Wandavision post-credit scene: could evan peters actually be mephisto?

WandaVision recently confirmed a huge villain had been hiding in plain sight when Agnes (played by Kathryn Hahn) was unveiled as a witch called Agatha Harkness. She had seemingly been Wanda

Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) all along, much to fans' suprise. However, some viewers are wondering if a character named Mephisto may also be involved. COULD EVAN PETERS ACTUALLY BE

PLAYING MEPHISTO? In episode seven, Agatha was unveiled as the puppetmaster of the Hex in a catchy song called ‘Agatha All Along.’ This saw the character in key moments of the show so far,

secretly manipulating what was going on. Among these was the introduction of Pietro Maximoff (Evan Peters) at Wanda’s door in episode five. This seems to imply he may somehow have been

which have made fans suspicious of him. This includes how when he was quizzed by Wanda about their backstory in episode six, he could not give her all of the details. As well as this, later

in the episode, he was also pushing her for details on how she was controlling the inhabitants of West View. Finally, the latest appearance of Pietro was in a post-credit scene at the end of

episode seven, which left some fans wondering if he is actually another villain as well. He is one of Wanda and Vision’s (Paul Bettany) biggest foes in the comics and many viewers are

convinced he will make an appearance before the end of the series. Posting on Twitter about this, viewer @LetsGoCNote theorised: “Evan Peters has been a regular on American Horror Story for

a long time. “I wouldn't put it past WandaVision to have him actually be Mephisto or Nightmare. He knows too much. “The show reads like AHS. And him having been FOX X-Men Quicksilver

just makes that perfect.” Another user named @C_Arn618 wrote: “What a cliffhanger with Monica and Pietro (Evan Peters HAS to be Mephisto right?!)” While fan @tribbens0608 added: “Honestly. I

think he is Mephisto. Evan Peters is so perfect for playing a devil-like character. “I don’t think it matters that it’s the same actor, I think they will bring everything together to make

more sense eventually.” However, not everyone agrees with the theory with several pointing out there are some pretty big holes in it. User @mattlovescinema tweeted: “Let's all agree

that it would be stupid of Marvel to bring back Evan Peters but then reveal him as Mephisto.” Fan @ixstayfresh also argued: “I’m still on the train of Evan Peters Quicksilver being from

X-Men and he was plucked to play a role in WandaVision. “I can’t see him as Mephisto. If he was Mephisto, why would Agnes have to control him at Wanda’s during their first meeting?” Another

user named @Singher_14 wrote: “I don't think Mephisto is Evan Peters. “I think Agnes brought him from another reality and is mind controlling him to act like Wanda's brother.” With
