Matilda Ramsay, 18, is the daughter of the professional chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay, 53, who has gained a huge following of her own thanks to her own cooking series on

CBBC. For this reason, it seems the youngster was one of the celebrities who had been lined up to take part in this year’s season of Strictly Come Dancing according to reports. However,

whether she had signed up to be a part of the line-up or not, the Ramsay Bunch host doesn't look like she'll be appearing in any way as she recently broke her arm. The young chef

shared on the Instagram Story feature an image of her arm in a pink cast after falling off a seesaw. Following this, an insider explained Matilda’s injury won’t be healed in time for her to

take part in the BBC dance show. “It’s a huge blow for her as she was hugely excited about taking part. And it’s a headache for BBC bosses, who thought signing Tilly was a coup, with her

famous dad and his pals bound to back her,” the source said. However, they continued to say although she might be ruled out this time, there could be potential for her to be cast in future

seasons. “She’s been assured next year talks will resume if she is still up for taking part,” they told The Sun. READ MORE: STRICTLY COME DANCING'S SHIRLEY BALLAS TEASES ROYAL FAMILY

CONTESTANT Express.co.uk has contacted both a representative for the show and Matilda for comment on the speculative reports. Viewers will have to wait a little longer to hear who will be

making their bid for the Glitterball Trophy as the programme returns later in the Autumn. Bookmakers are already building their lists on which famous faces could be taking part, with stars

from the world of television, music and sport among them. One actress who has made quite the impression after taking a starring role in Killing Eve is Jodie Comer, 27. Match Of The Day host

Gary Lineker, 59, is also amongst some of the big names rumoured to be taking part. The former professional footballer stands at 10/1 to be unveiled as one of the famous faces on this year’s

line-up. With doubts over whether the programme can still go ahead due to a possible second wave of coronavirus, it seems there are precautionary plans in place. BBC entertainment

controller Kate Phillips said: “There is a feeling if Strictly is back then all is okay with the world.” “I've looked at international versions. Some have already done it during

lockdown and we could see it was doable without an audience,” she continued to tell the Daily Star. Other measures in place will include regular testing of all those involved and celebrities

will work with their professional counterparts, but contact with others will be “minimised”. This year’s season is already scheduled to be shorter than usual, with the number of famous

faces taking part likely to be limited. All four judges and two hosts are also expected to make a triumphant return to add the entertainment value fans have come to love. _STRICTLY COME

DANCING RETURNS LATER THIS YEAR ON BBC ONE._
