Tiger King is a popular documentary series on Netflix which focuses on big cat breeding in America, in particular Oklahoma. One of the main participants in the series is the eccentric Joe
Exotic, who runs the GW Zoo and has an obsession with tigers. He was once interviewed by the famous documentary maker Louis Theroux, and here is everything you need to know about the
interview and where to find it. Theroux posted a tweet after watching the documentary series, saying he once met Exotic for a documentary, which is available to watch on BBC iPlayer. In the
tweet, which included a photo of himself with Exotic in front of a tiger cage, he said: "Just finished watching #TigerKing on #Netflix. I have a lot of thoughts which I'll post in
a considered form in the next day or two. "In the meantime, here is me and Joe back in the day and a link to the doc I did on player." The documentary maker did not make his
feelings about the Netflix series clear, so fans will be keeping an eye on his Twitter account over the next few days. The post has been liked by more than 31,000 people and many have
commented on the Theroux interview. READ MORE: TIGER KING: WHO WAS BRIAN RHYNE? MEET JOE EXOTIC'S FIRST HUSBAND One fan said on Twitter: "I KNEW I had seen this guy before
somewhere. Louis proves yet again that you were years ahead of the curve on most subjects." Theroux, who is known for exploring unchartered territory and taboo topics when it comes to
his films, made the documentary called America's Most Dangerous Pets. The documentary explores how there are more tigers in captivity in the US than in the wild in Asia altogether, as
well as other large wild animals. Theroux visited Exotic, who has bred and kept more than 150 tigers, and he gets up close and personal with the big cats. He starts off his visit at the GW
Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma, saying he had arranged with Joe to spend a couple of days with him. Just as he started filming they experienced a tornado and all the animals had to go on
lockdown. Exotic said there were about 176 tigers and tornados could cause them to escape. Theroux asks if there is anything he can do to help if there was an emergency and Exotic says:
"We will hand you a gun," saying they have plenty of guns. He said it would be horrible for them to have to shoot the tigers but he would be left with no choice. Theroux explains
many of the animals at the zoo had been rescued and rehomed from private owners who could no longer take care of them. DON'T MISS... Tiger King: What happened to Carole Baskin?

in 2011, Exotic had an appointment to rescue some more animals, including a leopard and tigers, from a man who could no longer look after them due to a back injury. Theroux watches on as
Exotic has to tranquilise the leopard and tigers and transfer them back to the park, which becomes their new home. Theroux then watches as Exotic visits his chimpanzees, and when he asks
whether Exotic would ever get in with them he says: "No, they are dangerous. It would be stupid for me to get in with them, they would hurt me. We just play through the bars."
There are some frights along the way and Theroux looks scared as a tiger jumps up at the cage right in front of him. Speaking about one of his lions Exotic said: "If he was to get you
he would not kill you and eat you right away, he's going to torment you. He would be on top of you, covering you as you are his." Theroux looks visibly scared as the lion continues
to growl and prowl around the cage where they are both standing. The documentary was released back in October 2011, almost nine years before the release of Tiger King which came out earlier
this year. In January 2020 Exotic was jailed for murder-for-hire charges, after an attempt to find someone to kill his rival and animal activist, Carole Baskin. _TIGER KING IS AVAILABLE TO
