Strictly Come Dancing contestant Alex Scott has had her fair share of drama during her run in the competition. When her partner Neil Jones suffered a leg injury she saw herself switching
partners last minute in one routine as Kevin Clifton stepped into his place. Tonight, she spoke about her experience on the show and the “struggle” that she faced during her run on the show.
Ex-footballer Alex has had her fair share of ups and downs in this season of Strictly.
Fellow pro dancer Kevin Clifton was forced to step in after her partner Neil suffered a leg injury which saw him have to sit out of the competition for two weeks.
Kevin said Alex had taught him the routine in less than an hour and she then received her highest score to date, with the judges praising her “mental ability”.
Luckily, Neil made a quick recovery and was back to join his partner for the rest of the competition.

Last night saw her dance the Samba to Joyful Joyful from Sister Act 2 as the judges gave her mixed feedback.
Judge Bruno Tonioli appeared confused by their dance as he didn’t feel it had enough traditional Samba content in.
“Stylistically, the Samba wasn’t quite right… so yes, it was happy, it was joyful, it was a strong performance.
“When I go to judge the Samba, it was danced in a hip-hop way, you know what I mean? You put us in a very weird position.”
Craig Revel Horwood said he found the dance “refreshing” and joked that “quite liked weird positions”.

However, the pair found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard and tonight they were in the dance off against Chris Ramsey and Karen Clifton.
It was one of the most tense dance offs to date as the two couples fought it out to remain in the competition.
For one of the first times in the competition, the judges were split on who they wanted to send home.
Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood had in fact chosen to save Alex and Neil before Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas gave their votes to Chris and Karen.

As Head Judge, Shirley had the final say on the outcome which meant it was time for Alex to depart the competition.
She admitted she had found the show a “struggle” but thanked her dance partner Neil and everyone else who had been alongside her in the process.
“I’ve been a fan of Strictly forever so to even be here and dance here every week. I’ve loved every moment and I have to thank everyone, and everyone behind the scenes to make this show
work.
“I’ve literally lived out another dream I had football and then this chapter. I have to thank my dancer partner, he’s incredible. Thank you to everyone.
Alex did admit she had found part of the process difficult as she opened up about her experiences.
“I’m proud of the whole process, I’m proud of the struggle and I’m proud that people got to see me. Thank you for having me,” she added.
Her partner Neil, who saw himself partnered with a celebrity for the first time this year gushed over Alex.
He told host Tess Daly: “I’ve been so lucky because I got a partner. And, I got you, you were the best. You were so good. She’s taught me so much.”
As the four remaining couples return next weekend, who will just miss out on a place in the final?
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 7pm on BBC One.
