Season three of The Good Doctor is shaping up to be a dramatic watch. Not only are fans seeing Dr Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) trying to find love, but some of his colleagues

will also be facing their own trials such as Dr Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas). Another medic struggling will be Dr Morgan Reznik (Fiona Gubelmann) as she starts to lead her own surgeries as

a third-year resident, along with Dr Alex Park (Will Yun Lee).

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Good Doctor season 3

Morgan continues to compete with Alex professionally with the pair both at the same level as doctors.

But to add to her travails, Morgan was also diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis which her mother also had.

A recent episode of the show saw Morgan putting her hands in a bowl of ice water to help with the pain.

She revealed to Dr Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) her condition, asking him to treat her.

Morgan also asked the senior doctor to keep her condition a secret and not allow her other colleagues to find out.

Despite the pain and the nerve damage, Morgan has thus far successfully carried out her surgery without incident.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Dr Alex star Will Yun Lee teased details about the character and what to expect in the run.

“I think we’ll see a lot more insight into Morgan’s life and hopefully by the end of the season we’ll get to see more of Park’s life.”

However, her inherited condition could be exposed at some point in season three if she slips up in the operating theatre.

She’s also become closer to Claire, who was struck with grief after her mother’s death and was on a downward spiral.

Somewhere down the line, Morgan could tell Claire the truth about her health and it could affect her career.

Through her friendship with Claire, Morgan has demonstrated her human and caring side rather than just a sarcastic and cynical figure.

But in a moment of vulnerability, Morgan could share her devastating diagnosis with Claire.

Right now it all remains up in the air but at some point, the truth is going to come out with Morgan’s job on the line.

Actress Fiona praised the writers for giving her character some development, posting on Twitter: “Thanks for the amazing character.”

Reflecting generally on what season three would hold, Lee said: “They slowly start finding their footing in the hospital and all the residents start leaving their first surgeries and the

relationships start to thread through a little bit more.

“There’s also stuff between my character and Freddie Highmore’s character and we start becoming friends on a buddy relationship, which is nice.

“I think [Alex’s] first season there which was season two, he was still just navigating and feeling out all the different relationships on the show and I think this season he finds a comfort

with [Shaun].

“Even though he’s not much of a sharer Alex Park, in his own way, that’s the one person he goes to to share.”

He also said Shaun would make some “missteps” in his quest to find love with fellow medic Dr Carly Lever (Jasika Nicole), which was evidenced this week when she broke up with him,

However, Alex was on hand to give Shaun some sound advice about pursuing the romance with Carly.

The Good Doctor season 3 airs on Sky Witness on Tuesdays at 9pm and on ABC in America on Mondays at 10/9c
