The Handmaid’s Tale season three episode 13 dropped on Hulu last night and fans were on the edge of their seats as June’s (played by Elisabeth Moss) plan to rescue the children finally

played out. At the beginning of the episode, all hopes seemed to be lost with one Martha caught trying to escape and Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) nearly pulling the plug on the

whole plan. However, the ending saw group successfully made it to the airport, but it came at a cost as June had to sacrifice herself to aid the escape as the Police began to search the

vehicle. The ending saw June shot by a guard as she turned the gun on him and killed him, all before June was seen carried away by a group of Handmaids in the final scene. The sacrifice

certainly seems to have June back in fans good books as fans took to social media to congratulate June on saving the children. One fan said: “All those kids!!! June did that!!!” A second

added: “I never cry with movies or tv shows. Just saw the season finale of the #HandmaidsTale and cried the whole episode.” Moreover, June seemed to have redeemed herself to the fandom after

many fans blamed June for Eleanor’s death.  Fans will remember the penultimate episode that saw Eleanor Lawrence (Julie Dretzin) commit suicide after she became a liability to June’s

mission. After nearly giving away June’s plan to save the children, the episode saw Eleanor begin to unravel even more before viewers watched June enter her room to find she had taken an

overdose. READ MORE: THE HANDMAID’S TALE SEASON 4: JUNE FORCED INTO MARRIAGE IN HUGE TWIST? Instead of turning around and running for help, June made the decision to sit by her bedside and

wait for her to die. Fans were outraged by the death of the beloved character, and were quick to blame June for not getting help with posts all over social media condemning June’s cold

actions. However, June’s big sacrifice in the season finale seemed to redeem June, who was becoming increasingly unpopular. Taking to Twitter, a third user posted: “I personally feel June

made up for all her s****y decisions after what she pulled on the finale. and HOW. HOW she did it. #handmaidstale” A second added: “June saved all those little girls from a life of rape

& slavery. But, she has to get her daughter out of Gilead. She has to. Possibly in season 4... #HandmaidsTale” Instead of turning around and running for help, June made the decision to

out what happens to June after she was taken from the forest, but one fan theory suspects there won’t be a happy ending as June could lose her daughter. Reddit user AuthorTomFrost noted:

“too many things have gone right for June” recently hinting a big shock is in store. They explained: “Following a theme that's been building for three years, Gilead proves once and for

all that it's about maintaining power, not about fertility. “Their fighters chase the plane full of kids into Canadian airspace and shoot it down, prompting a war that takes up all of

seasons four and five.” _THE HANDMAID’S TALE SEASON THREE AIRS IN THE UK ON CHANNEL 4 ON SUNDAY AT 9PM._ _FOR CONFIDENTIAL SUPPORT CALL THE SAMARITANS IN THE UK ON 116 123 OR VISIT A LOCAL
