Euphoria ending meaning: what did the euphoria finale mean?

Euphoria will premiere tonight (Tuesday, August 6) at 10pm on Sky Atlantic in the UK and the entire series is streaming on NOW TV right now. The series came to a dramatic end on Sunday

ABOUT EUPHORIA_ WHAT DID THE EUPHORIA FINALE MEAN? The ending of Euphoria on HBO was dramatic with some shocking moments. Things were looking good for 17-year-old Rue (played by Zendaya) who

was three months sober and had managed to attend her high school prom, marking her sobriety. Rue even returned home from her high school prom with her best friend Jules (Hunter Schafer)

after the pair had been on bad terms. The duo decided to run away together, after confessing their true feelings for one another. DID RUE DIE IN THE EUPHORIA FINALE? However, when they got

to the train station, Rue backed out of the plan, feeling guilty for abandoning her sister Gia (Storm Reid) and her mother Leslie (Nika King). Jules decided not to stay behind with Rue and

got on the train to an unknown destination, leaving Rue heartbroken. As Rue walked home sobbing, flashbacks played out on the screen of her dancing and laughing with her family and it was

revealed that her favourite jumper belonged to her father who sadly passed away. In the episodes final moments, Rue relapsed, snorting what looked like cocaine in her bedroom. WHO IS JULES

IN EUPHORIA? Speaking about Rue and Jules’s relationship to HBO, Zendaya said: “I think the relationship goes through a lot of different levels. Rue honestly immediately and honestly falls

in love with Jules. “She just has this want to make her happy and I think this is the first time we see Rue genuinely happy about life. “There feels like there is a little bit of light at

the end of the tunnel for her so she goes really hard, really fast, a little faster than maybe Jules is prepared for.” Hunter Schaffer who plays Jules added: “I think episode eight is really

special because Rue and Jules have finally gotten to a place where they are aware of their love for each other.” Zendaya said: “It’s Rue’s idea to run away in the first place. She wants to

be with Jules, there’s nobody on Jules level in her eyes. “I think she repeating and thinking about all the trauma she has already caused her family in that split moment she thinks about her

mom and her little sister and that is something we have never really seen her do.” WILL THERE BE ANOTHER SERIES OF EUPHORIA? She added: “They finally are in love and they can run off

together and then everything just comes crashing down.” Schafer explained: “Even in their last moment, it didn’t follow through, their love still exists.” As Rue collapsed onto her bed, the

ending of Euphoria took an interesting turn and transformed into a music video for Zendaya and Labrinth’s new song All for us. The season finale ended with Rue/Zendaya signing the lyrics in

the street: “I hope one of you come back to remind me of who I was when I go disappearing into that good night.” Rue/Zendaya, who was being lifted by a signing and dancing choir then jumped

out of their arms and disappeared. Fans have been speculating that Rue/Zendaya jumping symbolised Rue fatally overdosing. Rue is unlikely to be dead as the show has already been commissioned
