Rachel riley red-faced as countdown host jimmy carr exposes blunder

Rachel Riley, 33, was back on hand to present a new series of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown alongside Jimmy, 46, as the quiz show returned tonight. After Jimmy introduced which comedians

would be taking part in the Channel 4 quiz show, he welcomed Rachel as the mathematical whizz. The contestants were then given their first task and as the Countdown clock got underway,

Rachel and Jimmy gave each other a knowing looking as they grabbed a ribbon stick. With the camera on the contestants, the pair were replaced by body doubles who performed a number of ribbon

gymnastic routines, leading to a seemingly unplanned blunder. Ending the performance, Rachel’s body double jumped on the table with Jimmy’s stuntman stood below her with the quiz whiz

twirling her ribbon stick above his head. The camera once again cut away to the contestants before jumping back to the presenters who had replaced their body doubles. Rachel was still up on

the table, whereas Jimmy had been tied up win the ribbon seen twirling above his head. Although the moment was all for laughs, Jimmy exposed Rachel’s blunder by turning to her and saying:

“That’s not what we rehearsed.” Former Strictly star Rachel was seen giggling away as Jimmy was untangled from the ribbon and returned to his seat to continue the game. Viewers will have

made before baby obvs. #CatsCountdown.” [sic]. Another added in light of the show returning: “Oh #CatsCountdown crying with laughter as always, @Channel4 Friday nights stay funny!!!

@8Outof10Cats.” Rachel and Pasha are expecting their first child in December, after the pair met whilst partnered together on Strictly Come Dancing. They made their relationship official by

tying the knot in Las Vegas earlier this month and the Countdown presenter has shared snaps from the happy occasion on social media. Taking to Instagram in view of her 404,000 followers,

Rachel shared a photo of herself and her husband of their wedding day. However, the pair looked significantly older as Rachel had used the new FaceApp, which has become a social media trend
