Britain’s got talent 2019: ben hart’s magic trick explained by fans

Britain’s Got Talent this year has seen all sorts of strange and wonderful acts take to the stage. Last night’s episode was no different as magician Ben Hart showed judges something they

haven’t seen before. The magic trick was inspired by the Christopher Nolan movie, The Prestige, and he asked one supposedly random member of the audience to help him. He chose a girl called

Anaka and asked her to step into one of the two cages on stage. He then connected the cages using what looked like an electric cable, and all of a sudden Anaka appeared in the other cage.

The look on her face made it seem as though she didn’t understand what had just happened or how Ben did this trick. Her shock was echoed on the faces of the show’s judges as Simon Cowell,

Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams all seem utterly stunned by what they had just witnessed. However, Britain’s Got Talent viewers then took to Twitter to offer up a rather

simple solution to Ben’s trick. One of the show’s viewers wrote: “It was an actress and she had a twin.” Another added: “Ha ha clearly not the same woman her hair was different and she

overacted it too much in my opinion. Great egg trick though.” A third said: “Sorry to burst ya bubbles. But she was a stooge and the second one her twin. It’s not rocket science. Sorry.”

However, it doesn’t look like Ben wants to spoil his tricks and highlighted the importance that the audience remains astonished by his work. He told The Sun: “I’m chasing that moment where

people feel astonishment. For some people, this lasts a long time, and for other people they try to kill it quickly. “All that matters for me is that they feel that initial moment of wonder

- whether they choose to protect that or to destroy it is up to them, all I have to do is make sure that they feel it. “I think that sometimes it’s nice to help other people to pretend that

there might be magic in the world. After all, some of the world is still completely unexplained and the closer you look, the more mysterious it becomes. “Sometimes I feel like I’m just a

guide to help people feel wonder and feel totally in the moment - you can forget your troubles when you’re marvelling.”
