wonder: what time does Gotham season five start? Here’s all we know about the new series’ release time.

Gotham season five kicks off in the USA on FOX on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 8/7c.

FOX will be airing the first episode of Gotham season five at 8pm ET and 7pm CT.

UK-based Gotham fans will have to wait a bit longer, however, with an exact release date for season five to drop across the pond yet to be announced.

WILL GOTHAM SEASON 5 FINALE TAKE PLACE IN THE FUTURE?

There are a number of clues to suggest when Gotham season five could be released in the UK.

Channel 4’s sister channel E4 aired the fourth series of Gotham last year, releasing the first episode of the season in April 2018.

E4’s decision to air the series in April meant fans had to wait a whopping seven months to get their first taste of season four after it premiered in the USA in September 2017.

Should Gotham season five follow a similar time schedule, UK fans may have to wait until the summer to get a glimpse at the final series.

Gotham fans will finally get to see Bruce Wayne don the cape as the beginnings of Batman come to fruition.

A spokesperson for FOX told Entertainment Weekly: "The fifth and final season will wrap up this unique origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, which revealed an

entirely new chapter that has never been told.”

The final season will also welcome back popular DC Comics villains The Joker, The Riddler, and The Penguin, as well as seeing the introduction of Bane and Harley Quinn.

WHERE IS GOTHAM SEASON 5 FILMED?

David Mazouz returns to play Bruce Wayne and become the Dark Knight Gotham fans have been waiting for.

Series regular Ben McKenzie reprises the role of Gotham Police Detective James Gordon, while Sean Pertwee stars as butler Alfred Pennyworth.

Cameron Monaghan will battle it out against Mazouz’ Bruce Wayne as The Joker, and Cory Michael Smith’s The Riddler will also provide drama.

Other actors to keep an eye out for include Morena Baccarin (as Leslie Thompkins), Donal Logue (as Harvey Bullock), Robin Lord Taylor (as The Penguin), Camren Bicondova (as Selina Kyle), and

Erin Richards (as Barbara Kean).

Gotham season 5 premieres in the USA on FOX, on Thursday, January 3, at 8/7c.
