This year’s edition of The X Factor changed up the judging panel after two years with Sharon Osbourne back in the seat with long-lasting staples Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell. This year has

seen husband and wife couple Robbie Williams and Ayda Field, and ex One Direction star Louis Tomlinson taking on the task of mentoring their categories with music mogul Simon instead. But

the group could be tossed aside if Simon’s girls Bella and Shan had their way, as both are eager to see the show undergo another format change. Last week’s eliminations shocked many ITV

fans, as while 19-year-old Essex-born singer Bella seemed poised to leave the competition, Shan was still a favourite to win the whole thing. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be, and the pair

were knocked out of this year’s series in heartbreaking moments with presenter Dermot O’Leary and their mentor Simon. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk about the potential for change,

Shan declared the show should definitely “have another shake-up”. “Yeah shake-up again. Shake it up!” Bella echoed, before she starting singing the popular song of the same name. The former

contestants then joked about being on the panel themselves one day. “I’d love to be,” Shan shared. “How do we make this happen?” “And that would be great [to be the next Louis]. Gotta sell

those albums first,” she laughed. The girls went on to admit Simon surprised them as a mentor, but he was ultimately the right choice for them. “I don’t think he puts on an act I think he’s

just honest,” Shan said thoughtfully. “And you know, he’s just so nice, and even more nicer in person, but I feel like he’s just himself. “And if he honestly didn’t agree he would just tell

you. Even with people in his category. One time you know, he’ll tell you, ‘You did this mistake, that mistake, but well done.’ “He’s very honest, which is great in this sort of industry,”

the soon-to-be star added. Bella even revealed the father-of-one spoke to the duo about their plans going forward when their time in the competition unexpectedly came to an end, but insisted

their professional relationship wasn’t finished yet. She continued: “‘Just keep doing what you’re doing,’ [he said]. You know there was no last words of advice, because he’s going to keep

giving us advice, I know this for sure. “No last words in it at all because we’re gonna carry on talking, so that’s how I’m looking at it, that none of these things… I didn’t say goodbye to

anyone, neither of us did.” “There was… we will be seeing them again and again and again, as we continue all of us on this journey, because we’ll all be following each other on this same

path,” Bella finished. _X FACTOR CONTINUES TONIGHT AT 8PM ON ITV._
