While most of the UK is set to be hit by snowfall this weekend, weather maps show the 13 cities which are likely to miss out. The Met Office has issued two rare amber warnings for snow and

ice over almost all of the UK this weekend from 6pm Saturday, January 4, until midnight Sunday the 5th. The warnings cover much of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and 3-7cm of

snow is possible with as much as 15-30cm of snow falling in higher ground of Wales and the southern Pennines. The forecaster added: "Snow will become persistent and locally heavy as it

pushes south to north across the warning area. "As well as snow, a period of freezing rain is also likely bringing some hazardous travel conditions before milder air follows across all

areas by Sunday morning." But not everywhere will see snow, here are the 13 cities not set to see any this weekend: TONIGHT: Showers in the north and west, these wintry over the hills

will move eastwards. Elsewhere with clear spells, temperatures will drop below freezing with a widespread frost developing for many. SATURDAY: A cold and frosty for many, however thicker

cloud will spread in from the southwest during the afternoon, with a mixture of rain, sleet and snow pushing northwards overnight. OUTLOOK FOR SUNDAY TO TUESDAY: Rain, sleet and snow

continuing to spread northeast on Sunday, turning briefly milder in the south. Colder but drier again on Monday with wintry showers, similar on Tuesday.
