Shocking moment two men mowed down in brutal hit-and-run

One of the victims, a 52-year-old man, was hit so hard his heart stopped beating. His friend, a 50-year-old man, was treated for broken bones and still doesn't have full use of his

right arm weeks after the horror smash. The friends were crossing Upton Lane in Forest Gate, east London, when the careless driver, who was parked on the street, pulled out and ploughed into

the pair. Horrific images captured on CCTV show the two middle-aged men being thrown into the air like ragdolls before sickeningly crunching on the tarmac. Miraculously, both men were

released from hospital the following day, but their treatment is ongoing. Police hunting the suspected hit and run driver of the car, believed to be a BMW, have released CCTV footage of the

crash that took place at around 10.30pm on Easter Sunday. Detective Constable Stephen Field from Newham CID said: "Both victims suffered extensive injuries which they are still

recovering from. "We know there was a Renault Megane which was driving directly behind at the time of the collision and the driver may have vital information. "We urge anyone who
