people have a sense of pride and belief in our country once again. "And if the BBC can't put the national anthem back on for 30-seconds at the end of the day's programming

then they can't really call themselves the British Broadcasting Corporation anymore. "It's time to get this back on track and I think that this is the year to do it, for the

Queen's Jubilee." After Mr Wootton alleged his network rivals at the BBC "sneer" at patriotism, the Romford MP added: "But you know Dan it's quite shocking,

it's also dangerous because it's unpicking the unity that brings British people together. "Look we are all from different backgrounds, different religions, different ethnic

backgrounds, different political views, we have differences but the one thing that unites all of us, I hope, is the love of our country. "And so we need these national symbols to bring

appeal to younger people during his appearance on GB News, polling from YouGov suggests those under 24 are less proud to be British than some of their older compatriots. The same polling

company found those aged 18 to 24 were less enthusiastic about God Save The Queen as an anthem, with 34 percent expressing favourable feelings and 35 percent giving YouGov a more negative

review. Those who vote Conservative and backed Brexit are also disproportionately likely to like or love the UK's national anthem, with respective net approval of 64 and 53 percent. The

Rosindell was joined by 18 other signatories, including nine Tory MPs, four DUP MPs, three Labour MPs, one from the Liberal Democrats and the then Independent Croydon Central MP Andrew

Pelling, 62. He issued further appeals in 2013 and 2016.
