Mr Trump reportedly turned sour on the idea of visiting Britain next month after fearing mass protests and falling foul of Theresa May by sharing videos uploaded by the deputy leader of

far-right organisation Britain First, Jayda Fransen.

After being warned by the PM over sharing the clips he told Mrs May to “focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom” prompting fury from

MPs.

Now after being snubbed by the thousands of Londoners expected to protest the visit, the city’s mayor Sadiq Khan and scores of MPs from both parties, President Donald Trump looks set to face

further humiliation from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Insiders have revealed it is very unlikely they will invite the Republican to their nuptials on May 19 as the couple do not see him as a “friend”.

Speaking to the Mail, a royal source said: “Although the guest list hasn’t yet been announced, there is no reason he would be invited.”

The wedding is expected to be a low key affair by royal standards – however claims Mr Trump has been looverlooked as he is not a friend of the couple have raised suspicions his predecessor

Barack Obama may attend.

President Obama has a close relationship with the prince, and met up with the royal earlier this month for an interview when Harry took over the running of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.

Royal household sources added: “Although the wedding is being attended by the Queen, it isn’t an official state occasion.

“It is a family event. Unless the President was a close personal friend, which he is not, there would be no real protocol, no reason for him to be invited.

“Harry and Meghan have made clear that this is very much an occasion and a celebration for their close family and friends.”

Bride-to-be Meghan is an outspoken critic of Mr Trump, branding the US leader “divisive” and “misogynistic” last year.

Prince Harry, 33, has grown close to the Obamas since they departed the White House earlier this year.

The former president and Mrs Obama attended the Invictus Games, organised by the prince, in Canada this summer.

Asked whether he would invite Mr Obama to the wedding during an interview last year, Prince Harry said: ”I don't know about that.

"We haven't put the invites or the guest list together, so who knows whether he's going to be invited or not. Wouldn't want to ruin that surprise."

It comes after Mr Trump announced his decision to cancel his visit to the London US embassy.

The US leader was due to be the guest of honour at the opening of the new American embassy in London, but in a tweet Mr Trump announced he would no longer be attending the event in February.

He claimed the Obama administration’s relocation of the embassy from its current location in Mayfair to a purpose-built £750 million facility south of the Thames was the reason he scrapped

the trip, adding the move was a “bad deal”.

However the move was signed off by President Obama’s predecessor George W. Bush, and was already well underway as the 44th president took office.
