Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have now been married for over six years, with the pair having welcomed two children - Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three - since their big day

in 2018. While the couple are well-known for packing on the PDA at engagements, both when they were members of the Royal Family and after they left in 2020, the nicknames they use for one

another aren’t quite as public. Although the duke, 40, tends to refer to his wife simply as Meghan most of the time when he talks about her, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, seems to have two

shorter alternative nicknames she uses when speaking about her husband. At home in Montecito the duchess has sometimes been heard referring to her husband as either Haz or H, two nicknames

she is believed to have adopted for the prince since meeting him. The duchess spoke about this for the first time during an interview while the couple were on an official royal tour of

Southern Africa in 2019 with their son Prince Archie. When Tom Bradby for ITV asked Meghan how she was coping since becoming a mum in the spotlight, with the duchess being at the receiving

end of a lot of negative press, she revealed the nickname she uses for Harry in passing. She said: "I have said for a long time to H - that is what I call him - it's not enough to

just survive something, that's not the point of life. “You have got to thrive. You have got to feel happy, and I think I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper

lip." The nickname was then frequently used by Meghan in the couple’s docuseries Harry and Meghan, released on Netflix in 2022. As the docuseries showed snippets of the couple’s life

behind closed doors, Meghan and Harry regularly appeared in front of the cameras to talk about their experiences in the Royal Family and in America since leaving. When asked about her

husband, Meghan frequently referred to him as H - the same nickname she had for him all those years ago. When the prince has been asked about his wife over the years, he has commonly

shortened her name to Meg.
