She might be one of the most instantly recognisable people around, but Princess Kate still likes to get out-and-about for a bit of "me time" away from the world's glare. And,
according to The Mirror, the princess uses a clever "trick" to avoid getting spotted as she leaves the royal households. Kate often sets her alarm in the early hours of the
morning. That was according to Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown in her book The Palace Papers. She said the royal would go to her favourite places for a spot of rest and relaxation before the
day began. Going out early doors also means the she would avoid photographers and reports as well as anyone who might recognise her. With no one to follow her around, the princess could also
"nourish her life", Tina explained. Kate's tactic has served her well a majority of the time and she's been able to go under-the-radar when needed. Although she has been
caught out on the odd occasion. She was seen visiting a David Hockney exhibition at the Royal Academy in London on a secret visit, which was a failure after her cover was blown. After
marrying Prince William in 2011, the princess has made sure to discover ways to fulfil her interests and preserve her individuality despite her royal obligations. It was however William
himself who made sure the couple had some privacy when they were first dating. After meeting at St Andrews University in Scotland, the duo were said to sneak off to a secret home on the
royal Balmoral Estate, away from prying eyes. Commonplace activities at the estate include picnics, barbecues, woodland walks, fly fishing and deer stalking. The couple now like taking their
three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with them when they head to Balmoral. They now have their own house on the Aberdeenshire estate. The three-bedroom cottage,
known as Tam-Na-Ghar, is thought to be where they will stay this summer, as Balmoral was a popular destination for the late Queen Elizabeth II. However, according to OK!, the Royal
Family's visit to Balmoral will be more "relaxed" this year. The magazine says the royals were "in awe" of the Queen.
