Sky News Australia host Chris Kenny told viewers that Prince William would be "a much better long-term bet" for the monarchy than his father Prince Charles. The shock statement was
in response to Prince William - who is President of the Football Association (FA) - tweeting his ardent opposition to the controversial proposed European Super League which would see six
Premier League teams play in a sealed-off league in Europe. Kenny went on to brand Charles as someone who "talks to plants" while William as someone who "talks to football
supporters". Mr Kenny said: “Prince William of course happens to be a future King of England. “While we probably should stay 'scthum' on these matters. “His line and tone on
this issue show we are lucky he’s the older brother!” Kenny was responding to a tweet on the future King's official Twitter page which read: 'Now, more than ever, we must protect
the entire football community – from the top level to the grassroots – and the values of competition and fairness at its core. I share the concerns of fans about the proposed Super League
and the damage it risks causing to the game we love. W.' JUST IN: QUEEN TURNS ON MEGHAN AND HARRY AS INSIDER EXPOSES ANGER - 'SHE'S SIDED WITH WILLIAM' The Australian
presenter then went on to question who is more suitable to be the future King of England following William's support for English football. Kenny added: “He’s likely to be a much better
long-term bet for the monarchy than his father I suppose." And then in a stinging analysis the Australian anchor made a brutal comparison between father and son. He said: “One talks to
plants and the other apparently talks to football supporters!” READ MORE: PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE 'TO BE DITCHED' BY CHARLES IN NEW MONARCHY PLANS The shocking result came
within weeks of the explosive interview Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave US talk show host Oprah Winfrey in March. In the interview, the Duchess of Sussex claimed an unnamed royal raised
concerns about Archie's skin colour during the Duchesses' pregnancy. Ms Winfrey later confirmed Prince Harry had clarified the comment had come from neither the Queen nor the late
Prince Philip. Commenting on the impact of the interview, 51 percent believed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had damaged the reputation of the Firm. Just 31 percent of those asked believed
the revelations had made no difference to the Royal Family's reputation.
