Richard Fitzwilliam warned “clashes were inevitable” after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to close their office at Buckingham Palace following their move to Canada. The royal expert
told Express.co.uk the couple had made a “mistake” because the closure will mean they are not able to “liaise” with the rest of the Royal Family. His remarks come after reports Meghan, 38,
“infuriated” Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, by posting pictures of herself on Instagram at the same time Prince Charles’ wife delivered a keynote speech on domestic violence. Mr Fitzwilliams
said: “The closure of the Sussexes office at Buckingham Palace is a mistake as they are keeping their patronages. “The release of photos of Meghan at the National Theatre clashed with
Camilla’s powerful speech on domestic violence. “But this is, regrettably, inevitable in the future as everything that the Sussexes do publicly will be hugely publicised. “Clashes with other
royal events will be inevitable as there will, apparently, be no liaison between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family.” Camilla was reportedly “very upset” after photos of
Meghan visiting the National Theatre appeared on the Sussex Royal Instagram account – the same day Camilla gave a speech at the Women of the World Festival in London about the “horrific
threat” of domestic abuse. READ MORE: EX-INSIDER REVEALS MOMENT PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE 'RUINED IT' From March 31 the couple will officially step back from royal duties
after their final engagement at the today. After this date, the couple will no longer have an office at Buckingham Palace and will be represented through their UK charity, according to a
spokeswoman for the couple. The move heavily suggested Meghan and Harry are going to spend less time in the UK than it was believed when they first announced their intention to step back as
senior royals in January. The arrangements will be subject to a 12-month review. Mr Fitzwilliams said the royal couple could now look to the future after completing their last engagement at
the Commonwealth Day service as senior royals on Monday. He added: “Harry and Meghan were unhappy in their royal roles and the royals can now look towards the future more positively when
Megxit has happened. “Harry and Meghan have undoubtedly looked much happier in recent weeks as though they were free from a great burden.”
