become more financially independent, were paid for their roles as speakers at a summit the banking giant hosted, but Mr Scobie set the record straight by revealing whether or not they did

“cash in”. He told listeners: “I think we’ve seen them really making some smart decisions and careful moves when it comes to setting up this charity. “This all started with the JP Morgan

summit that they attended in Miami two weeks ago. “For them, they’re really establishing themselves in different areas of the philanthropic landscape “We, of course, saw them in Miami,

social media, celebrity, sport and music. It was a real great way to start things off. “I will correct one thing whilst we’re on the subject. “There were a lot of reports suggesting that the

couple had cashed in a good $1 million or so from this appearance. “Sources tell me that they were paid absolutely nothing.” He said: “They attended a brainstorming session that lasted

several hours with professors and academics at the prestigious university. “Palace sources confirm that this was all part of research that they’re doing for their Sussex Royal Foundation

because this is the big project that they’re focused on right now. “We’ll see this continue over the weeks ahead. The couple are really doing their research before setting up this, what I

would call, legacy project. “They do want it to be their legacy, to be the thing that really puts their Sussex name firmly on the map if it wasn’t already, as it is, across the world. “They

really want to make big changes, and I’m really excited to hear what will happen with that.”
