Huawei will be back this month with the launch of its new Mate 30 Pro. The Chinese firm has just pushed out invites to media confirming a launch event will take place in Munich on September

19. The message shows a circular image which could be a reference to the camera set-up that's been rumoured for this phone and the words "Rethink Possibilities". Numerous

leaks have appeared online claiming to show a device with four snappers placed in a round pattern in the centre of rear case. Huawei is no stranger to featuring plenty of cameras on its

phones with the P30 Pro already packing a quad lens system into its glass case. Little else is known about the Mate 30 Pro but many think this device is set for a much faster processor,

bigger battery and support for a digital stylus. Along with its features being kept under wraps, we are also waiting to see what operating system will be included on the Mate 30. It's

thought that this flagship could be the first to be hit by the Google block which could mean it arrives without an official version of Android or any of the popular Google apps such as Maps

and Gmail. Confirming the issues to Reuters a Google spokesman said the Mate 30 cannot be sold with licensed Google apps and services due to the U.S. ban on sales to Huawei. A temporary

reprieve that the U.S. government announced last week does not apply to new products such as the Mate 30, the spokesman said. This means while the Chinese firm may still be able to harness

an open-source version of Android for its forthcoming mobile, it would not be able to obtain a paid licence needed to use its apps and services. In response, a Huawei spokesman Joe Kelly

said: “Huawei will continue to use the Android OS and ecosystem if the U.S. government allows us to do so. "Otherwise, we will continue to develop our own operating system and

ecosystem.” One option would be for the Chinese technology firm to launch the Mate 30 with its own operating system. HarmonyOS was unveiled in August and has been designed for Internet of

Things (IoT) devices but could also be harnessed by smartphones. Express.co.uk will bring you all the news live from Munich so watch this space.
